| Prelude by Rebekah Griffin Greene August 25th, 2010 So I've been wanting to do an album for just voice and bass for YEARS, but I couldn't afford a studio/didn't know how to do my own editing/was too much of a perfectionist/yadda-yadda-yadda, ANYWAY, here is the first track of what I hope will be my first album for bass and voice. Last week (August 18th, 2010) I did a recording session in my living room of just me singing and playing my bass at the same time for over an hour, improvising and pouring my heart out musically, and this is part of what came out. The rest will be some more tracks that I have to edit/mix. A lot of the layering that happened I had no idea would turn out the way it did, so when I just for kicks started adding tracks (I worked with Audacity) and cutting and pasting I was quite delighted with the counterpoint that ensued! Special thanks to Terry for listening to this as many times as he did and giving constructive criticism without complaining about my obsessive artistic narcissism.:) In seeking my own peace, I hope that this music will bless you as you seek yours. |
