Teaching Experience
• Turner Post-Doctorate Fellowship at S.U.N.Y Stony Brook
Duties: Led small combo rehearsals, led Stony Brook Big Band rehearsals, taught jazz history during Spring
09, gave drum lessons. Will teach beginning jazz improvisation Fall 09 and jazz history for spring 2010.

Duties: Organized and distributed music, helped with big band rehearsals, lead small combo rehearsals,
gave private improvisation instruction on drums, piano and trombone, helped publicize concerts, set up and
tear down for small groups and combos, composed and arranged music for small combos.

• Three trombone students during 2003, one started trombone in 4th grade, the other continued in 5th grade, the
other was in 6th.
• Gave private drum set lessons to 4th grade trombonist during 2005
• Gave private jazz improvisation lessons during Spring of 2007 at college level.
